ServicePower Technologies PLC develops connected field service management software for organisations worldwide. The firm’s innovative software solutions provide a range of workforce management solutions for businesses, including intelligent route optimisation, mobile workforce management and third party contractor dispatching. Having won a global contract with a multinational facilities management client, Peak Translations started working with us to roll-out our software solution in a series of foreign languages. This involved the translation of around 80,000 words, including onscreen text for user instructions, error messages and menu options.
The key to the project’s success was finding the most efficient way of extracting the written text that appears onscreen for the user out of the software code and then replacing it with the translated text. Using the latest translation memory software, Peak Translations developed an efficient process to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout.
To date, the software has been rolled-out into 6 languages, including a regional variant, allowing the end client to provide the system to their employees in a large number of new territories. Due to the translators’ vast experience of this type of software coupled with exceptional language skills and the efficiencies of Peak’s in-house software, they successfully delivered the translated software solution on time, with complete precision.
