As the country celebrates National Apprenticeship Week this week, it seems an opportune moment to announce that our very own apprentice, Charlie Blood, has been promoted to the role of Assistant Project Manager.
Charlie first came to our attention when he approached us for work experience whilst studying for his A-Levels. Financial independence turned out to be a greater pull than a university course for Charlie! So we were delighted when he chose to join us in October 2019 as our Business Administration Level 3 apprentice.
The new Assistant Project Manager role is an important part of our expansion plans for our business.
Charlie will continue to support the project managers by continuing to fulfil his current Business Administration role, freeing up their time to concentrate on the linguistic aspects of each project as well as on important account management for our key clients. Adding some project management responsibility to his new role affords him the opportunity to progress his own linguistic skills and put his knowledge into practice in this critical area of our work.
Helen Provart, Peak Translations’ Managing Director, comments,
“Alongside his existing exceptional knowledge of the German language, Charlie has also been learning Finnish in his spare time. This clear love of languages means he is perfectly at home at Peak. His appointment is part of several exciting changes to the structure of our Project Management team which means that, as our company grows, we can bring in new talent. We look forward to sharing more on this over the coming weeks.”
