We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, client-focused, experienced part-time project manager with great communication skills to build rapport with clients, linguists and colleagues, as well as plenty of initiative to find the right solutions for different types of projects.
We are a small yet ambitious company based in New Mills, Derbyshire. Peak Translations is a specialist and prestigious language services provider, supplying translation, interpreting and other language services to a wide range of national and international clients. We pride ourselves on always exceeding our customers’ expectations.

- you are passionate about helping people and businesses to communicate effectively and accurately in other languages
- you enjoy finding the best solution to problems faced by clients and working with them to implement the best processes to deliver those solutions
- you are comfortable switching tasks as the need arises and turning your hand to new things (sometimes we all have to do a bit of everything!)
- you’re the sort of person who sees how things can be improved; you’re always looking for a better way of doing things
- you have previous experience of using CAT Tools and knowledge of a second language
- you’re highly organised with great time management skills and the ability to prioritise in order to meet client deadlines – assignments often involve multilingual translations and must be achieved within strict deadlines and budgets
- you enjoy engaging with clients on the phone in a professional manner to ascertain and clarify their requirements and offer practical solutions to fulfil their needs – liaising with clients and managing expectations and relationships is vital
- you excel in handling a large number of projects simultaneously, ensuring our ISO procedures are followed – you’ll be performing quality checks on translation work before delivery to clients
- your attention to detail is second to none and you take great pride in ensuring tasks are completed accurately
- you are a confident communicator who will give clear instructions to suppliers
- you have experience in negotiating with clients and suppliers on service levels, delivery and price
- you work well as part of a team and have the initiative and motivation to work independently – the role is predominantly remote but teamwork is a key element
- you have good IT skills with competency in Microsoft Office programmes and experience working with databases and CRM packages
- you are comfortable with managing budgets and have the ability to prepare quotations, purchase orders and to process invoices

This is a part-time, remote working role, although induction/training will take place at our offices in New Mills or alternatively at a Manchester City Centre venue.
