We are delighted to announce that Helen Provart, Managing Director of Peak Translations, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the North West’s most popular women in business awards and is hoping to win the Small Business of the Year Award at next month’s Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs) ceremony.
The North West Awards, sponsored by Natwest, were launched back in 2011 to provide women across the North West with the opportunity to be recognised for their achievements in business and entries are now believed to be at an all-time high.
As part of the final process Helen faced a panel of judges where they were each asked to present their business and then had to answer a tough round of questions. We are now eagerly awaiting the judges’ final decision which will be announced on Friday September 23, at an awards ceremony held at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
“It is such an honour to have been selected as a finalist both for me and the team here at Peak Translations. Having taken over the company in 2014, I have been working on the strategic management of the business in order to grow but also to promote the importance of languages particularly in international business communications. To now be recognised for the steps that have been taken and the growth the company has already experienced is an amazing achievement. The EVAs judging process is a mix of public nomination with a stringent round of judging and an interview with a panel of highly regarded business professionals. The public votes form a minority share and are graded before being combined with the judges’ scores to choose the overall winner.
