COVID-19 precautionary measures

In light of the recent events surrounding Covid-19, I would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that the Peak team is constantly reviewing our contingency planning and precautionary measures to ensure that we can remain fully operational for our customers.

The health and safety of our project team, linguists, customers and their families remain our absolute priority and our thoughts go out to all those affected by this unprecedented situation.

As you may be aware, our normal mode of operating with our network of experienced and specialist linguists is through remote working and online access to our databases and servers which means that we are confident in our ability to maintain business as usual for the vast majority of our translation and interpreting projects. We have a global network, therefore, if one of our linguists in one country becomes poorly or just out of contact, we are able to transfer the work to other linguists within our network, meeting the same language requirements and sector specification.

For our interpreting services, we will still be able to respond independently to any requirements here at Peak through our own video conferencing services, but we also have a second option to work with a key partner should the demand increase over and above our normal capacity.

The measures that we have taken internally to reduce the impact of the virus for our staff and customers include:

  • Each employee has been informed and consulted, with regards to the risks and the signs and symptoms of the COVID-19 (following Government guidelines) and has been instructed in the hygiene steps to minimise the risk of infection.
  • We have robust plans in place to be able to implement homeworking as soon as is required and staff will all have full access to our Peak Translations systems and emails.
  • We have recently invested in new hardware to ensure continuity in a secure environment
  • Our main office telephone will be diverted to mobile and will continue to be monitored within normal office hours.
  • All external meetings are now conducted via our online video conferencing tools.


Please rest assured that all the team here at Peak are doing everything possible to support you and to maintain our high standard of service. We will continue to follow Government advice as the situation develops and will keep you updated on any changes.
